Let’s get in touch.
Hello! I’m Cass, a design chameleon based in Washington, DC: I’ve done a bit of everything (interactive, print, brand, motion, experiential, the list goes on) and I enjoy working in any aesthetic.
I grew up in Minnesota in a family of makers and craftspeople. You name it, I’ve likely made it; though I haven’t gotten to welding… yet. A late high school move took me south and I ended up staying to complete my fine arts education at the University of Georgia.
My career has taken me from a small boutique studio, to a global PR firm, to a multimedia and live events agency, to leading in-house design at a non-profit, to my latest adventure in product design with a fast-paced fintech startup. If you’d like to read more, you can check out my CV. Outside of my 9-to-5, I serve on the board of directors for the DC chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design. As Programming Director, I lead a team of passionate volunteers in bringing professional development to designers in the Washington, DC metro area.
Overall, what keeps me going is curiosity: I’m an inquisitive problem solver to the core. I’m always looking to learn new things, add to my toolbox of skills, and explore new techniques. When I’m not designing (or organizing a team or digging into a tutorial online), you can find me out exploring the city, reading a good book, going for a run/bike ride/yoga class, or knitting at a favorite dive bar.
